October in Action: Connection, Learning, & Prevention

Prevention happens in many places, in homes and schools, through community partnerships, and in the work of professionals putting prevention into practice every day.

In this issue, our latest Know! Tip focuses on helping children and teens balance schoolwork, sleep, movement, relationships, and downtime. We’re also revisiting a Know! Tip on addressing bullying and looking ahead to an upcoming resource on cultivating kindness.

We’re also excited to share that PAA has been awarded new funding to support kinship caregivers and family educators across Central Ohio. You’ll also find updates from Fresh Takes on Prevention, opportunities to join our team, and a new PAA in the Field section highlighting where our staff has been sharing their expertise and connecting with partners across Ohio and beyond.

A lot is happening in prevention, and we’re grateful to do this work alongside all of you. We hope you find resources and updates in this issue useful for your work and your community.
